Celebrating Youth Month and 2025 YEP Top Achievers
June is Youth Month in South Africa, a significant time to reflect on the brave young individuals who stood for change in 1976 and to honour the current generation of young pioneers who are leading progress today. As we celebrate, we are reminded that the future of this country is being built by those with the courage to envision it and the drive to make it a reality.
The trailblazing graduates of the 2025 Youth Enterprise Development Programme (YEP) are a testament to this spirit. With over 21 million youth in South Africa, they represent the most active, entrepreneurial, and digitally engaged segment of our population. These young innovators are transforming visions into ventures, coding their own paths to success, and uplifting their communities along the way.
South Africa’s youth are rewriting the rulebook, developing smarter solutions, building businesses that fuel households, and using technology to implement changes quickly. This Youth Month, we proudly celebrate and champion our 2025 YEP Top Achievers!

Why We Support Youth Entrepreneurship
The youth are creating jobs by turning ideas into viable businesses. They bring innovation to every corner of our country, from rural villages to bustling city streets. Not waiting for opportunities to come to them, they are taking the initiative to carve out their own paths in the entrepreneurial landscape.
As we observe Youth Month in 2025, we challenge our community of SMMEs to #BackOurYouth. These young leaders are not just dreaming but are actively delivering results; in their ascent, they uplift everyone in their communities.
Happy Youth Month! Together, let’s celebrate the remarkable contributions of our youth, who are not merely participating in the game but are indeed setting the pace for the future.
